Another boring ? about posting pics

In the last 2 weeks when I try to insert a picture to a thread the only option i have is a URL.

The option for choosing from my computer is gone.

Any idea how to bring this option back?

Sorry, we had to remove that add on. It was creating the duplicate posts.

Select "Go Advanced". Then select "Attachments" (the paper clip icon). NOT the "insert image" icon. Then you can upload from your computer.
 
When I try to use attachments the preview shows a huge image even though it is 1.8MB.

How do I make it smaller?

If it matters, it is a pic from iPhone 10 sent to my MacBook Pro.

Never had this issue with previous image uploads.

Me too from my desktop. Preview was huge but the final posted was much smaller and a good size.
