Still a fabulous combo!
Listened to the Alexia's today at Jean Marc's place, driven by the 1.2K McIntosh amps.
Those are really wonderful speakers.

How did they compare to the WP8's ?
No comparison possible my friend.
The Alexia make the WP8 sound like a budget speaker.

That was funny Jerome. I am so happy with these Alexia's. They are actually sounding better in my room than in any of the auditions. The only thing is that you must be diligent with proper setup, cabling, amplification, etc. They are so revealing. How revealing? Well, I've had a full blown entourage of speakers through my room in the past 2 years - Revel Salon 2, Strads, Mementos, D3's, Aida's, D1's, Revel Studio 2's, etc. and none of these ever reproduced this tiny tiny hum I have in my system.
Like Bill Murray in Caddyshack looking for the gofer, there I was searching for this darn hum. It took me weeks to find it. What was it? My Wireworld Eclipse 6 long run of XLR. I swapped those out for some Acoustic Zen and voila! Dead silence.
I never heard that tiny tiny hum with any of those other speakers. The Alexia's are that revealing of what else is upstream.
