Interesting to see his personal opinion based on his decades of experience designing and building high end gear going back decades ago with Blue Circle.

I can agree with that. Not really any different than I've heard from Nelson Pass or Dave Gordon, in regards, to measurements. I recall Gordon telling a story of designing a piece they had two caps with same specs yet one sounded better than the other, no explanation of why or how to measure such a difference.

A pointless argument as both measurements and listening are used and required, just one side or the other don't wish to admit it.

I love this guy, very quirky but makes a lot of sense to me. He also has some interesting videos with his noise reduction devices. I started researching him after I home demoed his Saturn Dac a while back. Really great sounding for the price, but I did not end up buying it. I did buy one of his Blue Circle amps, which I used for maybe 8 months after my Nagra MPA integrated blew up. The Blue Circle was not very powerful, but low volume listening was a joy, even with my DB7’s.
