Very late to the original post on this one. I can't say what crossover is used, but we just became an Alta Audio dealer in Canada and are burning in a pair of these right now. They are very impressive for the money at $9K USD. They call them a 3-way speaker, but are either 2.5 way or are crossing over the midbass driver extremely low as it definitely is moving a decent amount on material with significant bass. They said the speakers are quite flat to 26Hz and I believe them. The bass performance is extremely impressive. They sound full and natural with very good detail retrieval as well. I'm excited to hear how our demo models will come around with more time.
At some point we'll definitely have to bring in their $13K standmounter the Celesta FRM-2. It has received a lot of praise. Toneaudio has said that Celestra FRM-2 is at the top of the heap of standmounters they've heard in the $12K to $20K range.
Anyways, in regards to the Lelantos, their stock pictures don't do them justice, so here are a couple of pictures I took.
They are a 3 way.....bottom end is very full on these. Fantastic speakers, and they like a little room to sound their best. They do look quite nice in person.
To me, Alta has done one of the best integration of ribbon tweeters into "box speakers" that I've heard.
I see you're also a dealer for Alta Audio. Have you tried out the Celesta FRM-2 or the new Titanium Hestia yet? I have a small room and the Celesta FRM-2 may be something for me to look at. I also have a customer with the new Bel Canto Black ACI600 integrated amp and he's quite possibly interested in the Titanium Hestia as his next upgrade.
I have heard the Celesta (kept demo units here for a long while). VERY good speakers for those that need a bookshelf, and want essentially full range sound.
