Alex does an excellent job hosting this show, and has no intention to cut short his last 3 years of contract cause of some BS Cancer.

He has hosted 35 years to date and 8000 episodes - forward go Alex!

It's the only TV I watch other than sports and I watch it every day. Exercise for the mind.
Yes, sad news, but hope he wins this battle.
 
I sure hope he can win this battle and not have to go into final jeopardy. Pancreatic cancer only about 200k cases a year that seems to target ages 40 on up. According to the American Cancer Society, for all stages of pancreatic cancer combined, the one-year relative survival rate is 20%, and the five-year rate is 7%. I lost my cousin, age 69 to this cancer 8 years ago. Its a tough one to beat.
 
I think he has been a good example and that is not that common these days. I have lost friends to that forum of cancer and it took them fairly fast. I wish him the best in his fight to survive it.
