This is part of an amazing series from Alan Parsons. There's so much to recording and making music. Unbelievable.

 
Joe - thanks for sharing. I watched it all the way through. It's similar to the slicing and dicing I witnessed when I toured some recording studios here in Florida.

IMO, this is not music. Taking a word from one cut, putting into another, mixing this word into another word is total BS.

I have no issues with 10, 20 or 100 takes on a song. This is what the Beatles did. Playing together as a band. This is how all the great albums were recorded (the golden era of recording).

But this overuse of digital tools is ridiculous and no doubt part of the reason why many new albums just don't have the magic, the "it" that a band captures when they play together.

Music is not science, its art, warts and all.

I can't see the video, but what a bunch of nonsense. That's like a criminal cutting words out of a newspaper and pasting them to a sheet of plain paper for a ransom note.
