Has anyone lived with any of the Acoustical Systems arms/cartridge/tables. From what I have read & am being told by a few it is certainly very good. Am interested in this brand in the future & have a smartractor on the way. The Arche system has my attention & Dietrich doesn't leave out anything to be desired in his designs & engineering. Any experiences good or bad? I know someone on here is about to try out a tonearm etc but I'll leave that for them to step forward when they have a few hours on it.

I will have tonearm experience really really soon.

The headshell is friggin great as long as you are the type of person that is willing to spend lots of time fiddling. My only complaint is the slots could be longer for overhang adjustment. So don't use it with an usual cartridge that falls outside the norm or an arm that has been mounted with an incorrect pivot to stylus distance.

The first batch of cartridges sounded wonderful. Dynamic range was incredible some of the best i have heard in that dept. But the SRA angle was odd and if not used with their headshell very tough to set up. From what I understand the current versions are more easily adaptable to most tonearms and headshells.

The AS alignment tools are second to none, the best on the planet. I think that means they understand analog... ;-)

The clamp is a work of art too BTW and works very well.

Here is a Kronos/AS pic.

Mark, thanks for the info. ;)

Mike, your Kronos will look broken now without the above tonearm, might even sound that way too...:D

I've got the first Acquilar to land this continent :yahoo1:

BTW, all production models of AS cartridges has no issues with stylus angles. It was only prototype which was slightly off. Production models are dead precise.

Looking forward to more feedback from you guys.
