When I start a new album in my A1 it plays 5 seconds of the first track, makes a popping noise through my speakers, seems to power cycle, moves on to the next track, and then plays the rest of the album without any issues. Anyone have this happen to them before? Any suggestions? I've deleted and reloaded the library, power cycled the A1 by unplugging for a few minutes then rebooting, etc. I can't seem to solve this. It just started happening out of the blue.

Thanks for any help, Art

Art - can you reload the firmware? Put it on a USB stick and try.

Please try a "rescue" firmware reload.

Please download the "rescue" firmware below:

http://www.luminmusic.com/tmp/lumin_rescue_signed_20140529_503.upg

Put the firmware on a FAT32 formatted thumbdrive. Power Off the LUMIN.
Remove any USB device on LUMIN player. Connect the thumbdrive on LUMIN USB
port. Use a small "stick" and insert into the "reset" hole beside the USB
port. You should feel that the "stick" is pressed onto a button inside the
"reset" hole.

Keep pushing the "reset" button, use a small stick to push the reset button in the reset hole, and keep the reset button pushed while switching on the LUMIN, and keep the reset button pushed for around 15 seconds. During the whole process, do not release the reset button inside the reset hole.

The LUMIN should start loading the "rescue" firmware on the USB thumbdrive.

After LUMIN is rebooted, please check if that fixes the problem.

Mike, thanks so much for your help as it appears to have fixed the issue. Only thing I'm unsure of now is which firmware version should I be on? I thought previously I was in the 7's but this has me at 5.03

Great! Glad it worked. Happy to help. Yes, you're back to square one. Now you can update to the latest.

Did rescue firmware again and everything is fine, no skipping. No Tidal but unsure what's causing it when I update firmware.

Thanks Mike, my apologies as I wasn't clear. When I updated to current firmware the skipping came back. I re-launched the rescue ware and fixed skipping again, but have no Tidal due to running earliest version.

Gotcha. Don't know why you're getting the skipping. Did you clear the playlist and rebuild the database after updating to the latest version? The skipping happens when the Lumin can't find the files.

I did, I'll try the whole shebang again later this week. I'm fine for now at the beginning firmware, I don't use Tidal that often in my main rig...
