Hi to all.
I have bought a D1, and I am very happy with the SQ. I owned a MF V90 DAC, which I intended to sell, but now I realize that I have no digital inputs for when using my DVD, and or Blue ray player for musical videos.
Is there a way to get around this?
Maybe there is a way to send a digital signal via my router/switch into the Lumin D1?
I didnt want to keep my old Dac only for Playing films, and off course I would prefer to use D1 Dac converter for better SQ.
Thanks

If you can convert the audio into AirPlay by means of special computer configuration and/or the use of software like Airfoil, it may be possible to get the audio track from your video to AirPlay into Lumin. However, even if you get this to work, the AirPlay audio playback will have a severe latency, which will manifest as lipsync issues.

I believe the proper way is to have an AV receiver with pre-out and (pre-)amp with HT bypass feature, in a configuration similar to this:

Lumin -> 2-channel integrated amp -> front speakers

Video player -> AV receiver - front pre-out -> 2-channel integrated amp HT Bypass input -> front speakers

Video player -> AV receiver -> center and surround speakers and subwoofer

Thanks wklie.
I was hoping there would be an easier way.
Why did Lumin not include a digital input? Did they think that it would have degraded the SQ, or was it just to reduce production costs?
