The decision was handed down today. A-Rod has been suspended for the entire 2014 season:woot: Of course he will appeal as he stands to lose $25 million dollars in salary. I for one hope he never plays another game in his life.

The original suspension was 211 games so the arbitrator reduced the suspension by 49 games.

Love the game, played competitively - even had a try out for the minor league Braves in 1988, but as for baseball today, it went to sh!ts a long time ago. Greed fueled by drugs all for the almighty dollar. It became a vicious circle MLB couldn't control.

He will go to Federal Court for injunctive relief but will not get it. After ARod is denied in Federal Court, next move is the buyout of the remainder of his contract. If it doesn't work, Yanks will attempt to void the contract in Court claiming, at 39, he cannot come back from a year layoff and the layoff is due solely to the drug suspension (unlike an injury).

You're right Myles. A-Roid's career is effectively over. As far as the Hall of Fame: Fugeddaboutit!!!!!!!!!!!!!
