A little prayer for us, PLEASE !

Hello my friends,

Today is the first round of the french Présidential election.
5 years of incoherence and bad choices of the socialist president Hollande have brought the country to a very dangerous curve.
We could get 2 extremists in final : Le Pen on the extreme right and Mélenchon on the extreme left.
If this happens, that will be the end of the Euro zone and it could create a collapse of the whole world global economy.
France is in danger. But in this global world we are all in danger if such an occurence gets through.

My dear US friends, may I ask for a little prayer for us ? For the believers, please ask the Lord to protect France from these extremists and to give us the choice to elect a "normal", democratic President. Non believers : send us your deep thoughts. It works too !

It's a little scary how much momentum the extreme right has right now all over the world.
I share your concerns Jerome and one can only hope and pray for the best.

keep the politics out of our forums. We can share politic opinions and controversy in many ways and plcess anywhere else.

Jerome, I will pray for a moderate and pragmatic Leader to form Govt. France is a good ally and friend to Australia.
 
It seems Macron and Le Pen went through.

I hope Le Pen will lose ... she is an extreme populist on a Russian payroll (this is no joke: she got a $60m credit from Putin for the elections).

If the Macron wins, that will be the 3rd EU country in a row after Austria and the Netherlands that said no populism.

Indeed Adam, and in Germany, the populists also seem to lose momentum. :thumbsup:

I do not like Macron but we avoided a final with Le Pen / Mélenchon !
That would have been a nightmare.
