A bit of news

I was privileged to be in on a Zoom call with some audiophiles and Florioan. It was hosted by Ron of WBF. I learned some interesting things I thought I'd share. We weren't asked to keep it secret and the meet will be posted for public knowledge so I think I'm alright.

Clarisys is working on a new flagship speaker called Hall that will be 11 feet tall. That will be a must hear for me. They are also working on a new more entry level speaker called Piccolo that is targeted to come in more around $10k or so. I suspect this would be a very hot item. I don't remember if the height was mentioned but Florian says it should work in rooms up to 25 square meters or so.

News to me, the Clarisys are modular. Which means the drivers can be upgraded without selling your speakers and having to buy the latest model. Florian did mention a mid/high upgrade is coming out.

There was discussion of the FL show where the Clarisys were driven by 6 VAC amps, one amp per driver. They used a Japanese made outboard crossover. I don't remember all the details on that crossover. The expense of such a set up was acknowledged, however, it was also mentioned such a set up is a "game changer". I would have loved to have heard that.

Sales of Clarisys in the U.S. has far exceeded expectations. Kudos.

If I may editorialize, Clarisys is obviously a good product, I think it's also the people behind the product. I've only been to Axpona but I've attended many years of it and talked to a large number of reps. Rarely do I find one such as Florian who has such a working knowledge of the product and willing to go into that with such enthusiasm. I feel that is a real asset for the brand.
