It’s hard to believe 17 years have gone by since that fateful morning 17 years ago. I was living in Calgary Alberta at the time (Mountain Standard Time), so when the first plane struck, it was still early where we lived. I remember the phone ringing and it was a friend from the east coast. He said, “turn on your TV, just turn it on.” I stood there watching for the next several hours in shock and horror. I could not believe it. It has to be a movie. I was having a nightmare. What the hell is happening? This wasn’t real.

We should definitely spend a moment and reflect on all those who lost their lives and those families who were affected forever by the events on that fateful day.

The current Post 9/11 Death Toll of 1st Responders is staggering. So many that helped now have cancer and are dying or already dead. Let's not forget all those too.

agreed......... we all need to reflect and count our blessings.

A sad day to all mankind.
I hope that all the men of good will, and with the power to change the world, are doing their best to prevent situations like 09/11/2001.
There are other opinions, but i think the war to the terror must be done all day long and we can never rest.

I'll never forget that day; especially since I lived just a few miles from the Pentagon and was only about 2 or 3 miles from it when the plane hit. I was en route to the airport, but immediately turned around when I saw the smoke. My wife said our windows at home shook from the impact. Thinking about the terror of that day still feels like a hit to the stomach.

Thx Mike for the thought and the mention.
Many audio sites and audio forums and audio mags and audio dealers and audiophiles had zero mention.

And Brian for mentioning that through this day and in the future many more are and will be dead from cancer. All the helpers, diggers, firefighters, police officers, civilians, construction workers, ...who helped during and after in the cleanup process exposed themselves to the toxic ashes and air particles.
There are several articles about that, so this terrible terrible act of terrorism from 17 years ago is still killing people and will kill many more.

All music listening, all the best audio gear in the world cannot rise above; they can only transport us from musical songs messages.

we were living in greenwich village -- my wife was walking our two young kids to school that morning and the first plane flew directly over their heads as they were crossing the street. some of their classmates did not have a parent to come home to.

there is no legacy of hatred in nyc... people of all ethnicities, national origins and faiths were killed; that day everyone was a new yorker.

i  ny !!!!
