acoustic characteristics of Tannoy Prestige series
Can anyone comment on the acoustic characteristics (best state the strength and weakness)of the pretige models of Tannoy's, especially Stirling, Greenwich, Eaton, Chesworth, Berkely? I looks like such information does not exist on the internet. Users of Prestige series tend to only stick to one model so can only give comment on the one they are using.
Thanks
Chris

Re: acoustic characteristics of Tannoy Prestige series
Hi Chris,
As a friend of mine stated that he talked to the dealer listed below, about the same question, and was told that each of the Tannoy's, not matter the range!, has a very similar sonics, it just depends upon the size of ones room?, others I'm certain will have their opinions as well, but I don't think it hurts to ask someone that actually carries them - good luck on finding the truth of the matter for yourself:

Re: acoustic characteristics of Tannoy Prestige series
Its not just room size, but also about your expectations on bass and dynamic performance. Tannoys generally do not overload the room, so if you like a full bodied deep bass and huge dynamics just get the big ones. But yes they do have a consistent flavour.
Acoustical Systems, AMG, Aqua Acoustic Quality, Audeze, Audio Desk, Audible illusions, Audioquest, Aurender, Bryston, CH Precision, Chord Electronics, Constellation Audio, Dynaudiol, Fyne Audio, Grado labs, Ikeda, JL Audio, Kondo, Kronos, Kubala Sosna, Lumin, Luxman, Lyra, Magico, Nordost, PS Audio, Roon, Shunyata, SME, Sugden, Tenor, Tannoy, Vertere, VPI and ZYX.
