Thanks for this. I owned the CR-1s and sold them reluctantly only after I got a great deal on a pair of used R-1s. Best of all, I think the ME-1s are the best bang for the buck and pound in the lineup. The CR-1s were just too much speaker for a second system, but if I can get a good pair of used ME-1s, that will be hard to pass up. Other than in Munich, I have not heard their electronics, but suspect they are well done (and likely way expensive).
