Negative. Mayweather will run for 12 rounds and accumulate enough points to win. The most boring fighter on the planet but admittedly the best boxer too. Full contact would be a lot more interesting in this case.

    Re: Mayweather fight

It's a misnomer to say Mayweather "runs". Actually, he stands right in the pocket and dares you to find his chin, and when you miss, counters you with his right. His defense is superlative....doesn't need to run. By 9pm tonight, Conor is going to wish he'd never taken this fight. But, he's getting paid well, so....

    I'll be watching on Kodi.

If you want to watch a real fight, purchase the Canelo Álvarez vs. Gennadi Golovkin unified Middleweight Championship fight on pay per view on Sept. 16, 2017. Two tremendous fighters
at the top of their game.

I've never heard of those guys...tell us more, Ken. lol

Seriously though....Mayweather beat up on Canelo a few years back. Never got to step in against Triple G, but my money would have been on a similar result.

Of course I'll be watching....it's what a serious fight fan does.

Canelo was very young when Mayweather beat him. Now Canelo is much bigger, stronger, more skilled and at the top of his game. Mayweather is 40 and over the hill. GGG is 35, and while he may be somewhat past his peak, he still has terrific power and boxing skills. It should be a great fight and while GGG will be the favorite, the gap has really closed.

    Re: Mayweather fight

Mayweather TKO in the 10th round. Mayweather was only ahead 86 to 85 on the scorecards through 9 rounds. I can't believe it took him 10 rounds to knock out that bum. Pretty embarrassing. I guess that's the most you can expect from a 40 year old boxer.

Considering he's a guy who relies on reflexes and hand speed, having not fought in two years, at 40 years of age, he looked about what I thought he would look like. Fortunately he had McGregor in there with him.

As for the Alvarez/Mayweather fight, it was just less than 4 years ago, and while Canelo has learned more of his craft since then, he'd been a pro for 8 years and had some pretty good wins already. The result was something that would have happened time and again, as Alvarez is just too stationary and predictable for a counterpuncher like Floyd. He's got to be more of a mover and not follow Golovkin, plus use his jab throughout the fight to come out ahead. Then again, Gennady didn't look very good against Jacobs, so maybe he's shot his bolt....who knows.

    Re: Mayweather fight

I think but its just me, that some fights are just ways to bring focus to boxing. Conor a BIG STAR in MMA and Floyd a biggie as well brought a little notice back to boxing and each went home with a big payday. . Defense by Foyd carried the fight till the 10th. After all boxing is defense and offense and being smart and to not punch yourself out.. All the greats did that.

    Re: Mayweather fight

Conor won the first few rounds, then Floyd changed styles and came at him - fight over. Conor couldn't adjust as he didn't have the experience and Floyd took him apart.

No, in the opinion of many Money is theist fighter of the past couple of decades. If he had been around during the heyday of the Middleweights when the fantastic four of Leonard, Duran, Haggler and Hearns were at their prime, each would have provide a serious challenge to his success.
