Sims and tons of data take care of any lack of familiarity by the Driver , testing on Friday is to confirm sims data , by Sat morning most teams would have settled in on where they are strategy and speed wise , only driver errors and or an unpredictable event changes much ..

HAM is litteraly the luckiest driver on the grid. That said - the 2nd place was not handed to him - he had to fight from the 8th. Just look what BOT managed to do who I believe was 10th or therabouts after the restart. BOT really is a dead man walking now.
