Zellaton

If you have to ask...

Only one dealer. The distributor is the only dealer.

Never mind... not my business... if you allow blatant advertising that is your business.

BTW- almost $30,000 for a two-way stand mount speaker.... really... I mean really?

He blatantly advertises?

Their speakers are $$$$$$$

Sorry Mike, but this thread appears to be a free advertisement, not a discussion on their products, by a person from the company.... I personally believe that this type of thread should be in a thread for company advertisements like many other forums do... if they want to advertise their products, cool, but please don't insult us by calling it a discussion.

I would personally like to read about new gear no matter who presented it. TechnicalPie is based out of Moscow, says he’s a filmmaker. Zellaton is based in Germany (?). I think there’s only one importer which is too bad. Yes, they are very expensive but unfortunately, almost everything is these days. It’s up to each of us to decide what to do with the information provided but I for one am excited about the prospect of hearing them.

Yes, they are based out of Germany and they certainly look interesting. I appreciate good discussions, even on a product that is beyond crazily expensive :)....

Randy, the big ones are way over 100K, and the reference model 260K, if I remember correctly.

So, these ones are really outrageously expensive. But they’re supposed to be good. World famous producer Rick Rubin got some for himself.

Sorry, but this is not an advertisement !!!
I'm just sharing with you my impressions of listening to amazing speakers!
If you are not interested in this, then you can skip reading.
And despite the cost of Zellaton, these speakers should be listened to at least once in a lifetime!
Trust me, they are worth it!

Thanks!!!

Yes, the company produces all the drivers itself!

That’s great and perhaps a key reason for the companies longevity?

By some accounts, today most loudspeaker manufacturers buy their drivers from third party manufacturers or modify – ever so slightly in some cases – an off the shelf driver. While there is nothing inherently wrong or bad about using commercially-available drivers, owning the intellectual property can be helpful in protecting a business by stopping others from commercially exploiting their innovation.

Unfortunately, there is no official Zellaton distributor in Russia yet.
Hopefully this will change soon!

I think yes!
This is one of the main reasons for the high cost of speakers.
This famous speaker, covered with a layer of the finest foil, has been made for weeks. There are also stiffening ribs!
This is a very time-consuming process, like the production of expensive Swiss watches!

Never heard them, but have added them to my Munich list next year assuming it is still a go

Where have you been? Magico Q1 speakers which are a two way stand mount speaker cost over $26,000 in 2012. Do you complain about the prices for Wilson, Magico, MBL, and other expensive speakers or are you just singling out Zellaton?

I remember hearing some Zellaton multi-driver dipoles at a show a few years ago; expensive, but they pulled off the all too rare trick of disappearing into the room. The exhibitor was reluctant to play them very loudly, though, so no way to know if that quality persisted at higher volumes (an even rarer quality in speakers)
