    Tekton Double Impact

Has anyone heard these? They are getting quite a bit of chatter on Agon.

    Re: Tekton Double Impact

    Hi John,

I was going to post a thread asking the same thing. There are threads on fire on Audiogon and Audiocircle, I think. Seems like they have quite the following. No nonsense pricing and solid build quality seems like a great recipe. I am a little curious myself.
Fleetwood Deville by Oswald Mills Audio, Vienna Acoustics Haydn Jubilee, Wharfedale Linton w/ stands, Klipsch RB-75, Klipsch RP-160M.

    Job INTegrated. Luxman L-595aSE

    NAD C 658 streamer.

First Watt SIT-3, Job 250 Monos, NuForce STA200, AkitikA GT-102 amp, ASL Wave monos, Dennis Had 45 monos. Absolute Audio Labs PCF 25 amp (improved First Watt F7 super clone)

Topping D90, RME Audio ADI-2 DAC FS, ModWright Ultimate Sony XA-5400ES.

Burmester 948, McIntosh MCLK12, Kimber Kable, Siltech, Cardas, Avanti Audio cables.

    Re: Tekton Double Impact

I looked at Tekton before purchasing my Spatials and was very interested in their offerings but in the end the open baffle option really hit home. These new models were not around when I was looking and they are quite interesting. The multiple tweeter setup is interesting and not something anyone else is doing, it would be nice to hear what the designer was thinking with that many tweeters.
    System:
(2-channel)>Nuforce P-8 preamp>Pass Labs X150.5 Power Amp >Spatial Audio M3 Turbo S main speakers>Custom Built sealed sub for low end>Modified Dell i660 pc with Fidelizer for digital music source>PS Audio NuWave DAC
    (Theater)
Marantz Pre processor>Adcom 545II rear channel power amp
    >Crown XLS1000 power amp for theater sub>Modified JBL sub for theater

    Re: Tekton Double Impact

To me buying from Tekton is kind of a risky proposition if re-sale is of any concern. Eric seems to come up with new or "upgraded" models on an almost weekly basis. From all the chatter I have read over the last year their primary goal seems to be playing loud. Biggest following I have seen is on AK.

From a designer standpoint I would much rather bet my money on Clayton. Waiting on info now on the possible upgrade paths on the M3 Turbo S.

So many tweeters ... talk about HUGE lobbing effect. I would like to see their off-axis response.
