A Swedish hidden gem - Speakers endgame

    Hello folks

So I´m doing a total renovation in my home and I´m having my speakers build from someone I know in Sweden who developed this brand over 40y. The waiting time is very long, but it´s totally worth it. I´ve listend to a lot of speakers over the years and nothing I´ve heard can do what these speakers can do.

There is no grain in the sound, no added harsness, the dynamics are unmatched and they sound as clean on low volumes and on 120db, if you got the juice.

My setup, which will have black subwoffers (semimatt) and the fronts will be oiled or varnished.

Sorry for all the pictures, but wanted to give all the settings.

My take on the different types of treatments.

Varnished - I can see the different colors of the wood here (dark/light) and I like that. However, the varnish itself gives a bit of a plasticfeel, not too much since its semimatt. And in some light it might resemble the floor a little bit too much

Oiled - It´s a bit darker, in some settings it almost look like black or very very dark brown. I cant see the different nuances in the smoked as easily, but it´s a small testpiece so maybe when the whole large speaker is oiled it will look differently. The oiled differs more from the woodfloor, might be a good thing.
Different lights gives different feelings offcourse.

    What do you guys think?

    Thanks for all your feedback.

I am writing to you as a person with over 40 years of experience in interior design, the construction of sound systems is not an activity in itself, especially when significant amounts of financial resources are invested, moreover, it is a serious investment in time - fact! What do I want to say? The finish of your loudspeakers is the least of your concerns, the question is what is your overall concept for the interior design of the room where you will listen to these speakers?

They look similar to me. I think it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. In some settings people like speakers that do not really match the interior surroundings and the speaker stick out like more of a state piece (this is what I like). Some people want them to blend in more.

Are you going for a look that matches your room or are you trying to find simply what you think will look best on the speaker? Can you put simply a clear coat on the raw finish? I bet that would look nice.
