I heard a set of these tonight driven by an Arcam SA30 streaming integrated. They are a celebration of 50 years of PSB. Cost is about $2500.00 a pair but I'm not sure if this includes the stands. Titanium tweeter, 6" woofer & 8" passive radiator, 89dB, 6 ohms.

In my opinion they are a cool retro looking speaker, the grill is magnetic with a pull tab, I thought they sounded better with the grill on. Sold in mirror pairs, the tweeter is off to one side of each. Two sets of binding posts.

This is actually the first set of PSB I ever heard. If someone described the sound to me I'd say I won't like those but in fact they were seductive. I could criticize, and might, but we had a lot of fun listening to these.

The strenths were that the speakers disappeared like nothing I've heard in that price before, along with good imaging. The seductive part was the midrange, warm and natural sounding. The bass sounded like it played lower than it looks like it would on paper but the midbass wasn't as crisp, not a punchy kick drum type. The highs seemed rolled off, in fact, nothing about the sound was aggressive or forward, it just sort of drew you in and made it comfortable to listen for long periods of, time.

My friend uses KEF LS50 Meta along with the sub. We turned off the sub and connected the Passif 50 in their place. At first the PSB seemed muted by comparison but it didn't take long to hear the Passif 50 just was a different animal. The two are at opposing ends of the spectrum, both good, just would depend on what you want. The Passif 50 is not a speaker I'd recommend for home theater but it is capable of providing a nice listen for long periods of time.
