Really? Public knowledge you say. Can I ask you to reference the source?

I had earlier made the forum owner aware of something along similar lines – but that was via Private Message.
Borresen Acoustics ApS Model 01 Compact monitor loudspeakers, Audio Video Manufaktur GmbH (AVM) Inspiration amplifier & streamer, Innuos Zen MKII music server, Ansuz Acoustics cables & accessories. Please visit my system thread hosted on Audioshark for more details.

I have been thinking about Mike’s above post and several preceding posts which raised similar questions around disclosure.

Some have expressed a concern that a material connection between me and the brand may exist and if this is not disclosed or was not otherwise apparent to a reader this would omit important information for anyone evaluating or potentially acting upon the post / review / endorsement etc.

    This is a fair concern.

Earlier in this thread questions were raised as to whether I was being paid to promote Borresen speakers or whether I was receiving ‘incentives’ to do so. I have earlier replied ‘no’ to these questions. I stand by these replies and to avoid doubt, let me now further expand upon my earlier responses by stating that to the best of my knowledge, no material connection between me and Borresen exists except as identified below.

If you are unsure what the term ‘material connection’ means grab yourself an FTC Endorsement guide and allow yourself one hour of reading time to get through about 80 pages. It is comprehensive.

Should you read the guide, and I encourage you to, you may find as I did that outside of obvious material connections less obvious material connections like friendships can exist. I consider Lars the CEO of Borresen a friend and because such a friendship might materially affect the weight or credibility of my posts, reviews etc. ascribed by a reader, I declare it here.

So Ralph, is it true or not? Does not go well with your “enthused owner” charade, does it?

As pointed out earlier by kzhtoo, you are again trying to evade a straight answer.

Ralph, do you really think arrogance is a good way out here?

You have been exposed as a pretender. No lame attempts to distract from that fact, by lecturing others about matters you obviously don’t even half understand yourself, will help you to hide it.

But I know Ralph as a great guy and a wonderful person, and yes he loves most of our products and former products that Michael and I created.. like some of you guys love your equipment..
I do find that Magico make great speakers, since Michael and I left Raidho, I have had the opportunity to listen to their speakers in different systems.. and Magico make fantastic good sounding speakers.. of cause it’s always a matter of personally taste.
Regarding Ole Nielsen and Bjarne Hansen of Dantax (RAIDHO) Bjarne is now employed by us.They are very skilled technicians and are a big part of the success of Raidho, but when it comes to the design and sound it’s Michael Borresen and I who did the job, which you Mike know already. After Michael and I left the Raidho company this job now has been taking over by Benno..
We know, that our products can’t be loved by all people, but we try to do the best we can to put the smile on people’s face.. the whole crew of our companies works hard to give you the greatest experience, when you invest into our products.
    Kind regards

I wouldn’t call these straight answers. It’s fine, I’ve assumed nothing less.

I totally agree, Jock. I actually think Le Roy’s D5.1’s sound terrific. He is using DSP to smooth the mid-bass bump.

I think the most likely scenario is quid pro quo. Speakers for free or cost in exchange for marketing efforts on this thread. It wouldn’t be the first or even second time it has happened around here. I don’t expect the parties involved to come clean. But if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s usually a duck.
