    Welcome.

I heard the $100k model at Axpona and didn't like them at all. Again, this was at a show, maybe being in the sweet spot is critical for the brand or positioning needed tweaking.

I heard them many times, lots in the Zesto room. Can’t say they wowed me really. Sometimes they sounded nice, other times, meh.

    Hi Varyat

i have Coltrane3 speakers and about to get Momento2's. Marten speakers are truly fabulous but you must be careful with amp matching. In my system the resolution is such that we can change the loading on a cartridge by 5ohms and clearly hear the affects......

    Re: Marten speakers

I am considering the Mingus Quintet or the Mingus Twenty.
Marten has the new Isolator feet for the speakers now and can be an upgrade for existing Marten models

I bought the new Marten Mingus Quintet MK 2 recently. These beautiful speakers are very detailed, transparent and dynamic. Very fast bass and incredible highs.

If you can demo the Mingus Quintet 2, try to compare them with the Parker Quintet Diamond. The orice difference may not be that huge.
I have the Mingus Quintet 2, they are matched the Vitus SIA-030 nicely.

    Re: Marten speakers

Hi all, had my demo, Wednesday, yesterday, been looking for some new speakers for some time now, i have Wilson Audio Sasha mk 1, they are very good, but getting a bit old now, so demoed Marten Parker Quintet Dimond, i have a Audionet Humboldt amp, and Esoteric K0-1X cd player, MIT cables throughout, Matrix HD 60, i felt the wilsons, were a bit dark sounding, and a bit closed in, especially at low volume, with the parkers in place, there was more air, around the music, more timber in the vocals, voices come over very well, and more detail, they are not in their final resting place yet, will have to grid the floor out later in the week, but they are very good, they are a big speaker, taller and deeper, than the wilsons, they have 4 x 9″ Aluminium passive radiators, at the back, but you can't here any music coming out of them, they are an easier loud to drive, and i have the piano white version, and they look brilliant, these are £38,000, in the UK, and i am chuffed, Parker Quintet | Marten - premium loudspeakers for the home my search is over, for some years anyway
PS, they have the big, iso acoustic's feet on, but i will be taking these off leaving the bars on putting felt under them and then placing them on my Townshend audio Platforms, so they will still be at the same Hight, these are quite tall speakers, as the platform's are better than the feet,

    Re: Marten speakers

wow, cool ! the search has found a good end.
did you demo them at home with the humboldt or in the store? do you already have them at home now?
i do think the stock footers look very cool and wouldnt remove them as they seem to be a part of the design. then again, for sure, have a try.
again, congrats and enjoy for a long time!

    Re: Marten speakers

Wow, I've always shied away from any brand that uses ceramic drivers because my short arm deep pocket syndrome scares me away from the component matching which seems even more critical with ceramic. If your speakers sound half as good as they look i'm interested.

    Re: Marten speakers

    @greystoke4- Thanks for the feedback!
May I ask- size of your room ands how far off of front wall are you positioning?
I am a bit worried about the rear passive radiators and wall placement.
Coming from Wilson speakers, how do you find the ceramic cones in the Martens? Any hardness/brittleness to the sound in comparison? Thanks for your input- not much about these speakers out there unfortunately.....

    Re: Marten speakers

Hi, forgot to mention, it was a home demo, they are not far from the Wilson setup, they are 27 inches from the front wall, and my room is 12 foot by 22 foot 9 foot ceiling, firing down the length, BUT, this is not their final resting point, will grid the floor out in a couple of days, and get down to finding their proper placement, it will not be far off, no hardness/brittleness, at all, they are very fast, and i have the diamond tweeter, voices are great, at the rear i can see no movement, of the passive radiators, no sound coming from the back, only slightly toed in, not firing right at the hot-spot,
