The amps are Oasis S200 solid state 200W Class A per side. Don't know too much about them other than they are based around the Forsell (sp) circuit. Remember the Forsell Statement amp of yesteryear? When you first listen to them you go looking for the tubes!

Thanks Mike. Jerry is really Jeff.
All kinds of music sound very good. I haven't gotten the sound stage sorted just yet, but it is early. They only weigh 195 lbs. per. To move them inches takes real grunt. No spikes yet. I am testing out speaker cables. I have used my old Silnotes and am now using AQ Aspen. Neither sound as good as my Genesis cables with my Genesis speakers. There is a little veil, high end is not quite as open and airy, bass is different with the Magicos, but I like it better as I don't have to worry about room interaction from ported designs. I am thinking about matching my Siltech ICs with the Siltech Classic Anniversary 770L speaker cables or the Synergistic Research Elements CTS. Some have said that too much of a good thing is not necessarily good as with the Siltech as the Magicos are fast and detailed. But I think adding some silver to the copper will open up the top end. May also add some grit to the leading edge of strings like Rachel Podger's violin. Like when adding more resin to the bow. Female vocals are right there in the room and perfectly toned (Jacintha and Eva Cassidy). Coltrane's sax, Fathead's sax and Botti's trumpet are very real and Johnny Hartman's voice is spot on.
I will report more when other conclusions present themselves.
Thanks for all the nice words!

Ha! Sorry Jeff. I was talking to Jerry L. earlier. Had Jerry on the brain!

Hi Jeff, Siltech is silver and gold alloy, not just silver.

oops, I think I know that. Was thinking silver and copper. Anyway, the Classic anniversary 770i ICs made a huge difference. Thanks kzhtoo. Do you think too much of a good thing?

Nope. I find Siltech Classics and Signature series to have good amount of weight and body.

Good job Jeff. Great speakers, if I do say so myself. Today, after three months of home remodeling, I finally hooked up my two channel system. Now, all the gear and cables are burning in again, and getting reacquainted. However, it is sounding good now.

Enjoy those speakers.
