Re: Making the Vitus Audio SIA-030 Integrated Amplifier, Part One

Thanks for sharing the inside look at the Vitus Audio SIA-030. I for one am unfamiliar with the brand. Articles like this make people like me want to learn more about Vitus Audio. I don't know if they are widely available in the US but I would certainly enjoy a first hand experience with their products. Impressive stuff; looking forward to part two.

I'm so impressed with the quality control and overall build of Vitus products. Definitely worth seeking out.

And here is the second part!

Making the Vitus Audio SIA-030 Integrated Amplifier, Part Two

I think these articles really make a case for why great high-end components cost what they do. So much labor and testing, in addition to the premium parts and pieces.

I did a European delivery of a 997.2 GT3 RS from the main production facility in Zuffenhausen. Fantastic experience; highly recommended for anyone that wants to scratch that itch. Cool video but sounds to me like a robo YouTube channel compiling online videos, using synthetic voices for the narration.

Now back to the OP's content. I definitely know Jeff Fritz is the real deal.

Re: Making the Vitus Audio SIA-030 Integrated Amplifier, Part One

So, Jeff, I read parts 1 and 2. Interesting product and photos, thanks for the write-up. Just curious, there's been a fair bit of empahsis on "Quality"

With respect to that, does Vitus control-chart their manufacturing operations to know (with data and most importantly, with statistical power) that their product manufacturing is in statistical process control? If not, how do they track Cp/Cpk? These are these most important statistical (and, useful, because they are actionable) evalutions of product quality.

    Thanks.

Why don't you contact Vitus directly and ask them your canned questions? Have you contacted the manufacturers of the components you have in your system and verified that they "control-chart their manufacturing operations" prior to purchase? How does this relate to sound quality if they meet the specifications of their design? Just because a product is built with statistical process control doesn't mean you will like the sound of their design.
