Walmart?

Oh dear

At least Walmart are staying true to only sell Made in China gear :D

Notice this in the listing: "Sold & Shipped by Buyoo, Inc"

If a company like Walmart or Amazon wants to partner with anyone, there is not much limit to what they can sell. Need a new Mercedes?

"Buyoo"? Who?

Worst Knock-Knock joke ever.

"About Buyoo, Inc
We help people buy by providing them with the lowest trusted price online for products in marketplaces and through our technology available at www.buyoo.com."

From buyoo.com "buyoo, find me the lowest price for this product:" Then they list departments. They call themselves a "retail e-commerce aggregator".

Worst Knock-Knock joke ever.

I'll respond later. I'm at Walmart getting some new socks, milk, eggs, kitty litter and some Sonus Faber speakers. The salesman is trying to convince me to go Bose.

Eggs, milk, cat litter and some Sonus Faber Liliums to go. What else would you shop at Walmart before x-mas?

Anyone remember the Moto RAZR? Selling those at Wal-Mart for $99,- after selling them for $500+ two years earlier in the operator channel is what started Moto descent into oblivion.

Where's Moto today? Yeah right, sold to Google for patents and then ejected shortly thereafter.

Yes, we all lament the passing of flip phones. :D

Flip phones, so sad [emoji3].

Point is rather about channel strategy, once you go mass market the brand is ruined.

A brand isn't necessarily ruined by going mass market, it is finished when a product within the brand becomes a commodity.

[emoji3] the question is which happens first and which one is the result of the other.

It would be interesting to see if Buyoo is an authorized SF dealer, and if SF is aware they appeared at Wal-Mart? It's a bit ridiculous as WM has nothing that could drive a SF properly.

It's also interesting we see quality electronic's prices continue to climb, yet they feel the way to increase business is to sell direct or go to online retailers. Time will tell how things go for McIntosh.
