    New SF speakers coming

New SF speakers - to be announced at the Munich show in May. I'm personally very interested in what some are saying might be the new Cremona line. Glad I waited on the old M's. Hopefully the new ones retain the classic, timeless beauty of the originals, along with the maple finish. Loved what looked like a stitched leather top (instead of the chrome/metal in some of the new models) in the preview... Nice touch!

Apparently it will be a monitor version of the Aida, yes, and a new Cremona model, maybe even a new Cremona line... We'll know in about a week.

Sonus Faber is hitting it out of the park these days - covering all the possible market areas. Venere to Aida and everything in between.

Lots of speculation on the web. Will be interesting to hear the reaction once everyone sees what's actually coming.

I am sure whatever it is will be VERY nice I still have my eye on a couple of the current models so it does not really matter to me.

Will be interesting seeing what new designs come out from Sonus Faber, love what they did with the Futura. A blend of new and traditional designs, Cremona updating would be on my radar.

This was posted/leaked both on YouTube and other message boards. Looks promising! I love the stitched leather top. Now the question is how much more expensive than the Cremona will this new line retail for?

This one will have to be above the Futura. Stitched leather, rear-firing tweeter? Expensive but less than the Aida.

    $50ish to compete with Alexia?

There may also be some lower-end models announced. Who knows? I think Joe needs to fly to Munich, send back some reports.

Beautifully finished. Looking forward to learning more about this speaker. As usual, there is a degree of anticipation driving interest in the SF advertising campaign. I like it, a la Steve Jobs infamous line at the end of his product announcements "oh and another thing..." While I love the teaser mini-videos, would drop the barefooted red-head touching everything gingerly and drop the shots of marble statues. The lighting and scenery is enough to situate the viewer, then let's explore the speakers, not someone's barefeet OK, I digress. Really looking forward to thoughts of those that have listened to these speakers!

Beauties! But where do they sit in the line? To replace Cremona? Between Cremona and Futura or between Futura and Aida? Any idea of MSRP? Size/dimensions?

On their facebook page, Sonus faber just announced that the Olympica is in fact a brand new line and not a replacement for the Cremona.

Thanks. I'm still wondering where it "fits" in their already rather crowded line. They need something in between the Futura and Aida IMO more than they need yet another new line.

I agree it's getting a little crowded in there, but I assume the Toy line will be entirely replaced by the Venere line (a shame), the Liuto line will probably be dropped altogether (tricky price segment, plus they were never really that popular), and the Olympica line will, as you say, more than likely be placed below the Aida... We will find out soon!

    Esteban,

I honestly do not see the Oympica is a line below Aida and above the Futura.. It's nice looking speakers, but in no way it is worth more than $26k to me..
