Re: New Entry Level line from SF called Chameleon...

I just think they are going after a younger entry-level demographic at a price point they can afford. It's not cheap looking. The front and sides are covered in leather (just like their older entry-level Toy line) but the difference with the Toy line is that had wood side panels whereas this has these interchangeable color thingies which is a younger/more modern look/feel. I think that's more a design choice but the question will be when you see this in person will it still have the SF quality of finish which they have traditionally delivered as well as the bang for the buck in terms of sonics. If yes, then their brand perception will be just fine. You may decide that this design choice may not be to your liking but you are not a twenty- or thirty-something consumer We are all older farts here and have more traditional tastes in terms of design choices And we have associated SF with nice wood enclosures. Younger folk might find that a bit too old fashioned or staid

I know you weren't meaning to be funny Joe, but I almost spilt my beer when I read this!

I'm guessing they will be made in a far off land to help keep the costs down so SF can make this line affordable to the demographic they are trying to reach.

They are going to be made on Italy at SF's main factory.

I heard there was going to be some speaker manufacturing here but not sure what. Oh well. I am glad you had a good chuckle.
