Electrocompaniet ECI 3 vs Primare A30.1/I30
Which one would you choose to drive Sonus Faber sonetto's ?
1. Electrocompaniet ECI 3 Pre owned 1000$
1. Primare A30.1 MKII Pre owned 670$
Is it work the extra 400$ for the EC ECI3 ?

Re: Electrocompaniet ECI 3 vs Primare A30.1/I30
I have not heard the ECI. I personally find Primare to sound a bit edgy for lack of a better word, however, it should drive them well. By reputation my guess is the ECI would be worth the difference. The Primare would be neutral and have good punch though.

Re: Electrocompaniet ECI 3 vs Primare A30.1/I30
I have heard both, albeit not in critical listening conditions. Either should drive the Sonettos OK, even though, at ¬87dB /W (4ohm), they're not the most sensitive models aroundl.
My take on the Primare is as Mr Peabody's above.
Personally, I would opt for the Electro -- I liked its sonic attributes and dynamics.Digital: Musichi player on Minix; DAC: Ideon Audio Absolute (loan), MSB Select II, Ideon Audio Ayazi II, 2x Ideon 3R Master Time signal reclocking; Analogue: TT: Simon Yorke - Pluto 6 // Pro ject Xtension 12'΄; Preactive: Borbely Reference; Prepassive: Steven & Billington; Amplifier: Symphonic Line -- Kraft 250 class A; Speakers: Devore / vintage Etude; Cabling: homegrown, Bearlabs, Nordost Valhalla; Isolation: Neuance shelves, Nordost pulsars Rack: suspended devices

Thank you guys for your response, recently another option leaped at me, a brand new Roksan K3 integrated for 1400$. Is it worth to be considered?
