SimAudio Integrated Amplifiers?
Does anyone have experience with SimAudio Integrated amps?
Many years ago, a friend and I were demoing B&W speakers. He was looking to buy a pair and ended up with the 805 stand mounted ones. The store used a low end SimAudio integrated. After it was warmed up it was outstanding. I was shocked. I still remember that day but sadly not the model of integrated. I think it was possibly a 240i.
Does anyone here own one now or moved on? I'm so curious of your thoughts.

Always wanted an I-5 growing up in this hobby.
Recently heard the 600iv2 on Devore O96 and it was a superb match. I was shocked.Brinkmann Bardo w/ EMT HSD-006 cart, MSB Reference DAC --> Linear Tube Audio MicroZOTL --> Ampzilla 2000, 2nd Edition --> Fyne Audio F1-12

Re: SimAudio Integrated Amplifiers?
I had an I-7 (predecessor to the 700i) for a few years and thought it was the best pairing of about a half dozen combinations I had with my Revel Studio 2s. Selling it was one of my biggest hifi regrets. I definitely miss that system. My only complaint was a high-ish noise floor.

Re: SimAudio Integrated Amplifiers?
Glad to hear. Noise floor may have been an issue specific to my system. From my recollection others reported a very low noise floor for that model as well. I had the unit checked out by Simaudio and they found nothing abnormal.
Anyway, a great piece that imparted very little of its own character, had excellent drive, soundstage and was musical to boot. Haven't seen one on the used market in a while, but would consider scooping one up if I did. I'm sure the 700i V2 is awesome!Living Room System: Mac Mini > PS Audio PWD MKII/ Marantz TT-15 Turntable w/ Ortofon Cadenza Bronze> Musical Fidelity LX2LPS> Primaluna Dialogue Premium> Klipsch Forte III

I’m very happy with the move over PierreB. I’ll miss the customer service and the active forum over there but this sim is on another level. I really wanted a 600i but nose dived into this combo. Stay in touch Pierre

The 700i V2 looks very interesting. Mike, any thoughts on how the Moon integrateds pair with Sonus Faber speakers?

Re: SimAudio Integrated Amplifiers?
A friend has just purchased the 390 DAC/pre-amp and the 330 stereo power amp but will likely upgrade the 330 to the 760 stereo power amp (dual mono) when it arrives in store. The 390/330 combo was super impressive for the price but it was a noticeable step up when we paired the 390 with the 340 integrated (bypassing the 340’s pre-amp). We demoed all electronics with several Audiovector speakers and he settled on the R6 Avantgardes, which were also super impressive with a beautiful tweeter and balanced mid-range and bass. A superb, excellent value sound system.

Re: SimAudio Integrated Amplifiers?
I have the 390/760 combo with a set of focal 1027’s. I really love this combo, it’s a little polished for me with heavy metal but the trade off is worth it.

Hi Mike, no need for 700 with the 600 option? Any insight appreciated and thank you!

Re: SimAudio Integrated Amplifiers?
Thx for the quick response. A buddy brought over a 340i with my Lumin t2( I have a mcintosh integrated 8900 200 watt w/ Sonus Faber speakers) and the base grip on the 340i was fantastic.. better than mine without EQ on. I’ve since heard a 390/330 and 600i v2 not sure I heard the benefit of the 600 immediately like I thought I would , the 390/330 was impressive also. It was with focal sopra2s I didn’t love the speaker match.
Has me thinking of swapping the Mac just doing my research to make the right decision. Any further insight appreciated next step I will demo at home. Thank you!

Thanks Mike. I saw a pair in one of the local shops I never go into - They were a LOT bigger than I thought any Fynes were and they looked really cool. I must go back and have a listen as I...
