Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords.
Can anyone provide some comparison information on these 2 power cords? Sound Quality wise, that is.

Re: Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
I have never tried the Galileo SX power cord, but I had owned all three tiers of the SR Atmosphere X power cords, including the Level 3 Euphoria, which to me is a fairer comparison price wise to Shunyata Sigma v2. Galileo in price is similar to Omega

Re: Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
These are both great power cords. It becomes a matter of personal preference. The Synergistic Research Atmosphere X Euphoria (level 3) is more open, more “airy”, a bit more “sparkle”. However, it sounds a bit thinner compared to Sigma v2 NR, which sound a bit “fuller”, more body and “organic”. For my current system, I preferred the Sigma, so that’s what I have now on both my Integrated amp and DAC

Thank you. Your comments on SR PCs similar to my impressions of SR Level 2 ICs and SCs.

Re: Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
thyname,
Thanks for your post.
So, I went ahead and ordered the SR Galileo SX. Should have it in a couple of weeks. I will compare it to the Sigma V2 since I have it on demo. I am going to use it on my Lumin X1

Re: Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
LOL!! 😄
In all seriousness, I would appreciate it if you update your impressions either here or in your Audiogon forums thread on the Galileo SX. I had been very close in the past to buying one, but for some reason never got around to. I always wondered if it was substantially better than the Atmosphere X Euphoria I had back thenPerlisten S7t speakers with two Perlisten R212s subwoofers | T+A PA 3100 HV integrated amp with PS 3000 HV power supply | Esoteric N-01XD DAC & Streamer| Esoteric G-05 Master Clock | Jay’s Audio CDT3-MK3 Transport | Innuos ZENith MK3| Shunyata Everest

Re: Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
Finally retrieved the Synergistic Galileo SX power cord from the lying inept Fed Ex.
First listen. the music sounds louder, really.
Not sure if these cables require breakin time, anyone have an opinion?
Tomorrow I'll be able to listen more.

Re: Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
thyname,
After screwing around with Fed Ex all day, I only had a few minutes with the new power cord yesterday.
Today, I will give it more of a test.

Re: Shunyata Sigma V2 VS Synergistic Galileo SX power cords
Update:
Now that the Synergistic SX power cord has had time to break in, it is fantastic! Highly recommended! Way better than the Shunyata Sigma V2.
Funny when you disconnect the ground lead the soundstage widens but looses center focus.
