Shunyata Research Announces Everest
Think of the Everest/Combo more in terms of Sonic benefits over the 6000sv2/Sigma XC or Alpha XC rather than current benefits. That being said, in an apartment, I would be very happy with the 6000Sv2/Sigma or Alpha combo. The Everest is quite large and can’t go on a shelf. The 6000s/v2 fits nicely on a shelf and really gives you what I think you’ll be after in your situation.
Try your M900 into the Denali and into the wall to see what you prefer. If you do end up going into the wall direct with the M900u, grab a Shunyata defender to plug in the same circuit or at least in parallel. This will give you added protection.
Hope that helps.

Mike: I suspect you have your own reasons keeping this dude's posts in your forum. And I respect that. Do you happen to know where the "ignore button" is? The dude mentioned it to me. I would like to take advantage of this ignore button.
FYI same dude is causing mayhem right now over at AA forums on Shunyata. Same stupid argument on.... fuses. On Shunyata threads of all places. I wonder why. Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
I love my Everest. Yes, my Diablo 300 is powered through Everest’s high current output. IMO it’s a must-have piece for systems that cost $50k or more. If you have any doubt, at least you should try it in your system before passing judgement.
This is a hobby based on subjectivity and to provide entertainment and happiness. Arguing against human subjectivity is like pissing in a hurricane and you will get neither entertainment nor happiness.

Let me add that Everest has lifted the performance of my Naim Statement/ MSB Select system. It was a very worthwhile addition. Thank you Caelin and the entire Shunyata team. Best, GN

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
I added an Everest conditioner to my system a few weeks ago. It replaced a PS Audio P20. I've been reluctant to post on the results because of the vitriolic posts on the Everest and power conditioners in general. It looks like it's safe to come out now.
After laboriously moving the P20 out of the way, I set up the Everest in just a few minutes. The cable support structures on each plug are genius. They make routing the cables easy and the end result is very clean. I fired it up and put on a bass heavy track. The slam and thump were much improved over the P20. Didn't have to listen to more than a few seconds to notice the improvement. Better current flow? I don't know but the Q-Subs sing. Tight, saturated, fast. After a few days of playing my demo tracks, I also noticed more space in the soundstage around individual sources. Focus was also improved.
I can't explain the physics behind what happened. The P20 was an improvement over the previous power conditioner I was using. Now the Everest has leap frogged the P20. Perhaps it's just my confirmation bias but who cares? If I perceive an improvement in what was already exemplary sound, it was worth the investment. I've never been disappointed with a Shunyata purchase.

Would also be interested in any measurement data (Eg. Noise spectrum with/without), expect it's not available (yet)?

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
I just received my Everest in the mail yesterday and for the record I am completely blown away... my $400 Sound Bar has never sounded so good (This is NOT a joke)
I need to explain we have a unique setup - first we have a huge problem with WAF interference (Wife acceptance factor) in our environment (no ugly speakers or equipment can be out in the open) it's all inside a BDI AV Cabinet & 80" UHDTV sits on top... so "Music just magically appears in the room" my 89 year old "mother-in law" is living with us.. she has a 60% hearing loss in the Mid/high frequencies and cannot hear people talking while watching TV if it has background music playing) to resolve this problem we got a ZVOX SB380 35" inch sound Bar that YES, Sits inside the AV Cabinet ....when we are watching TV it's in dialog mode to boost voices.. it does compromise background music /bass but is acceptable....... When listening to music it's direct mode
here is the setup Omega XC to Everest SigmaV2 NR into our Linn Selekt DSM with upgraded Katalyst DAC then Alpha V2 RCA into the speaker bar... streaming from Tidal Omega Ethernet to the Meraki MX68 Firewall - Then a 2nd Omega to the cable modem... so it really sounds great... we watch everything TV, YouTube, Netflix, Amazon through our TIVO so that Omega ethernet (we have 3 total) runs from TIVO into the MX68...(it has Delta MR2 power cord) then the TIVO HDMI out audio/video (Audioquest Vodak 48) into the Linn (audio to speaker bar, video from Linn to TV) we are also testing Denali 6000v2 Sigma XC and Alpha/Sigma ethernet in the setup above.. our Shunyata dealer has a 60 day "no questions asked" return policy - the cable modem, OOMA phone adapter, ethernet switch all use V14-Digtial when possible plugged into an older Hydra model-4 port (no cable cradle so "power bricks can plug into it) that uplinks into Everest via Delta NRV2
Conclusion
there IS a Big difference between 6000v2 vs Everest in this setup... also the Omega ethernet between cable modem & Firewall sound 100% better then DH Labs Reunion cat8 ethernet) or even the Alpha/Delta ethernet that did surprise me...Cost is also a consideration - so we decided to Keep the Everest - we are returning the 6000v2.. and the Omega XC and buying Sigma XC with Everest - long term we will upgrade the speakers.. we tried B&W 602 bookshelf inside the AV Cabinet but it sounded horrible -will eventually upgrade to floor standing outside the cabinet - that means we need a AMP that will fit inside the AV cabinet that does NOT weight 300Lbs so we are thinking Linn Klimax - Linn speakers use ethernet vs regular speaker cable so Omega ethernet might be used for that..
my point of this review is: Power is critical.. your $400 speaker bar can sound Amazing with Shunyata or can compensate for other issues that you may not be able to fix in your room or environment the Everest is a long term investment.. sure we could have bought a Delta D6 conditioner then traded it in a few years later. then to 6000v2 upgrade some speakers.. then trade in again to Everest or just start with High end equipment and upgrade as budget allows

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
Mike- I am currently using a Shunyata Triton (V1) with a Typhon QR and considering replacing the Triton with an Everest. Should the Typhon still be utilized or would a Denali/Typhon combo be a more cost effective and comparable choice.

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
Hi Caelin, in one of the youtube videos I saw you showing the difference in ASCC between powercables and I wondered if there is also a similar ASCC comparison for the power-conditioners as the Denali/Everest (wall socket versus conditioner output), or is that something that wouldn't make sense? (Just curious here)

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
Any and all series connections between the electrical panel and the component ‘decrease’ DTCD.
This includes the electrical panel breakers, in wall wiring, wall sockets, power strips (conditioners) and power cords.
DTCD means Dynamic Transient Current Delivery
So, the only question is “how much loss” is incurred with each of the connections. This is why it is important to maximize DTCD for each power related component and cable.

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
DTCD and ASCC was clear to me, I was just curious if there was the with/without ASCC test value specifically as it was also demonstrated for the direct mains vs cheap power cable. I expect it was not tried for the conditioners

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
We have run tests on power strips, conditioners, switches, breakers, contacts, various wire types etc. Basically everything in the current path has been tested separately and as sub-assemblies.
Common power strips, as used for computers, test particularly poorly with DTCD reductions as high as 40-50%. Of course this depends on the manufacturer and model. Some better than others. This is why we built the Venom PS8 - to provide a power distributor that doesn’t significantly degrade DTCD.

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
We design and/or manufacture the wire, connectors, buss bars and patented or proprietary parts that are used in our products.
No, we don’t manufacture breakers. We test many different brands and models and select the parts that have superior DTCD. There are measurable and significant differences. In addition to measuring each component or part we also listen to each part to select those that sound best.
In case you are wondering, we don’t make resistors or capacitors either. But just like any part we use, we test many from all available sources to find those that perform best.

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
I understand. And I don’t mind answering questions.
But when someone asks brief, open ended, questions I have no idea what their Technical background is or their current level of knowledge about our products So it is difficult for me to know what to say without writing a long white paper. So if you provide more context about what you know and what you don’t quite understand, then I can more effectively get you the answer you are looking for.
Also, this is a dealer forum, not Shunyata Research technical support. I don’t hang out here all the time. I just check in periodically, usually in the evening if I have a moment. So, don’t get offended if I don’t always answer a question. You are not being dissed - I just didn’t see the post. If you have a technical question about our products and need an authoritative answer, call our customer service or send an email. That way you will get the information you need.

Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest
I just obtained a brand new Everest and Sigma XC. My Denali 6000v2 and old Sigma XC were moved to my second system. After a one hour warm up I listened and, to be honest, I was underwhelmed. The sound was not as smooth as with the Denali. Ops, I missed the break in part in the Owners Manual. Now I'm running a light and a fan to break in the Everest.
For those owners out there, how long does it take to start approaching full break in?
