Joining the Shunyata family
Well I made my first Cornavirus purchase thank you Mike. This was waiting for me today when I got home 6000/S2 and V10NR cord. My first Shunyata purchase. I have to say the packaging and visual is top notch.

Re: Joining the Shunyata family
Nice, what cord are you using from Wall to Denali to start with?
And re-terminating the wall socket with a new one with good grip is also recommended to get the most out of your equipment.

Re: Joining the Shunyata family
Eight years ago I put in two dedicated 20amp lines with Furtech wall outlets. Before that I used a conditioner on my stereo system, I was using the Richard Gray substation and 1200C. Got rid of the substation and use the 1200C on my home theater surround sound system. What made me get the Denali is two fold, in next few months I'm going to be transitioning to the Jersey shore to house sit my mom's house for a while and don't want to be putting in new lines and outlets. I'm probably fooling myself and will end up doing it anyway. The second reason was watching Shunyata's videos on noise reduction (extremely informative). I'm going to use the new V-10NR for right now. The game plan is baby steps, once my system is set up in Jersey I will take the V-10NR and use it on the 1200C for the TV setup. Then I will move up Shunyata line. My goal is to get the new Alpha XC cord. I don't want to replace all my Argento audio cables.

Re: Joining the Shunyata family
Sounds like a good plan. Is use the Furutech NCF wall outlets myself. Having a serious Denali is a great start. I haven't heard Argento but I remember when they made their own custom connectors early on and used silver.

Re: Joining the Shunyata family
Ok, after having the Denali V2 I can say it's open my eyes that dedicated lines are only half the battle against lowering the noise floor. After experimenting with a generic cord and then using V-10NR, I feel/hear that a Shunyata cord opens the Denali up to the next level. It must be the loom factor. I could say the Denali tighten up the bass, removes the top end sibilance and removes a veil from my Sopra 2's but thats what happens when you lower the noise floor. The Denali is excellent investment that you'll be able to take with you to the grave. Yesterday I added the Alpha XC power cord to the Denali (thank you Mike). It definitely does what Puma Cat has said but also to my ears the biggest factor is it throws a huge soundstage engulfing the room.
If you can add an XC cord to your Denali you will bring out the full potential that the Denali has to offer.
Finally I have to say during these trying times that Suncoast and Shunyata Research have been unbelievable getting their products to me within 7 days of ordering them. Awesome job guys.

Re: Joining the Shunyata family
John,
Really great to hear how Denali is working for you.
Your comment about the Alpha XC throwing a huge soundstage into room is right on the money.
The new Simga XC (as did the Sigma NR when I was using it for a power distributor) definitely does that as well.
Very good insight and info. Thanks!

Don't you hate it when the new GIZZMO arrives and you can't find your 20A C19 adapter to plug it into the wall
