It should be fine if you're using the Everest only for front end. If you also have your amps connected to the Everest, then you need to have your PC reterminated with a 20A IEC (for example: FI-52 NCF | FURUTECH) or purchase a new PC to the wall with a 20A IEC.
I'd avoid if possible using this adatpter as shown above for more than a temporary measure until you find the correct 20AIEC terminated cord.

I have the item in my setup and find it loose fitting -I have to cable tie the two connections to get a firm seating) and frankly poorly made for the asking price--$225USd(?)

Go for the proper terminated cord.

ok, thanks a lot again everybody for the advices.
after inspection it turned out that the furutech conneters are not soldered or bond to my powercord, just some screwing is involved. all i got to do is to order the same connceter in the iec19 version. how easy!
very happy not to pay for another pc, mixing brands on top.

I'm so impressed with Everest, that I start to think what it would be like to trade the Sigma XC (which I bought for my Denali V2) for an Omega XC.

Enjoy your trip. Was there a number of years ago with a group of cyclists. We pedaled our way from Lisbon and spent our time mainly in the Southwest of the country. So many olive groves. Hot and dry when I was there. Seems dinner began after 10pm. Considering the heat, it made a world of sense.

The next level down from Everest is the Denali 6000 v2.

then again, i need to leave from here with the family. the province i live, 150000 population, basicly had no first wave. one case a week or so, but since this week we seem to be the hottest spot on earth, highest cases of the country and a positivity rate of 40%. still no restrictions here, no masks, clubs and everything open. we face the darkest winter ever. not sure what to do yet.

Well it is something quite strange. He says that he has ordered an Omega XC with a C15 connector from Shunyata, but that the cable with the C19 connector has very little sale and he does not dare to have it in stock. However, I do not understand that reasoning.
Two types of customers can buy an Omega XC:
1.- Owners of an Everest or Denali V2
2.- Owners of conditioners from other brands. I doubt very much that whoever owns an Audioquest or a Sinergistic Research will buy a Shunyata cable, therefore we have the first possibility and in this case a C19 cable is needed.

I was also anticipating a Everest with fewer inputs. Initially (or possibly still) it was called Everest. Now I have seen ads calling it Everest 8000. My thinking was that made room for Everest 2000 or 4000. Thanks for clarifying.

Caelin, I would like you to confirm that the Omega XC is only manufactured with a C19 connector, because on the Shunyata website and in the OMEGA XC section, the drop-down offers a choice between C15 and C19.

My reading of what Caelin said above does not suggest that Omega XC is only manufactured with a C19.

It seems that there is some misunderunderstanding about the information provided.

While the Omega was designed specifically for the Everest, that does not mean it can only be used exclusively for Everest. It could be used, for example with Denalis or Triton V3s, or other power distributors, for that matter.

While it is the power cable for Everest that provides the highest performance envelope, it could also be used with other components that would utilize a C15 connector cable.

This is why the Omega XC is available with both C15 and C19 connectors.

All Shunyata power distributors require a C19-specification cable for the reasons that Grant has stated.

More accurately, it doesn't exclusively "belong" to the Everest (it can be used with other components), but it enables Everest to perform at its best.

i was on the way to order an alpha2 iec19 and skipped it because i thought whenever i would upgrade later on to sigma or omega, then the alpha iec19 would be out of any use.

All "XC" class power cords are designed specifically as wall-to-conditioner cables. They are optimized for that specific purpose. All of our power distributors and conditioners use a 20A C19 type inlet. So, most XC power cables are built with the C19 connector.

That being said, there are other power conditioners on the market that do not use a C19 connector. Of course, we will make the XC cable with any other type connector to include the standard C15 style, PowerCon, CForm or any other type of connector.

Just FYI, these are the XC model power cords that we make:

    Venom V10 XC
    Delta v2 XC
    Alpha v2 XC
    Sigma v2 XC
    Omega XC

Something to make our TYPHON fans happy. (which is no longer in production)
    Something reasonably priced!

Maybe Saint Nicolas will have something in his sleigh?

More than that, I cannot say for now.

Re: Ascending to even greater heights

    According to your post::

Well it is something quite strange. He says that he has ordered an Omega XC with a C15 connector from Shunyata, but that the cable with the C19 connector has very little sale and he does not dare to have it in stock. However, I do not understand that reasoning.
    1) The main purpose of the Omega XC is to power the Everest.
    2) If the dealer orders an Everest - he should order a proper XC cable to go with it.
    3) All of our conditioners including Everest REQUIRE a C19 terminated power cable.

So as you said, ".. something is quite strange .."

The dealer should already know all of this.

    Therefore, my comment about training.
