Accuphase future.
More than three years have passed since the moment when Accuphase released its flagship system dp-900/dc-901/c-3800/a-200 and only preamp was improved last time (c-3850).
I know that Accuphase is one of the most (if not the most) conservative high end audio manufacture and they follow the evolution way, not revolution at all. But maybe you guys have any information about some new flagships models? Or maybe we need to wait until 2017 for 45th Anniversary of Accuphase? What do you think gents?

Re: Accuphase future.
Great Mike! I have never seen Accuphase stuff on shows, at least in the internet. I think Accuphase is more popular in Europe than in America, but even in Munich there is no Accuphase at all. This manufacture is a real huge legend in Asia, it is the same for Japan as McIntosh is for USA.
Anyway... Any bigger Accuphase dealers/distributors here on forum?

I'd love to own Accuphase, but the cost here is just to high for me.

Re: Accuphase future.
Yes, the same situation in Europe. Taxes paying for equipment from the outside of EU are horrible. American brands are pretty okay, lets say 1USD = 1EUR, but Japanese gears are even 30-40% more expensive than in Japan.
But in my taste they are really worth it

Re: Accuphase future.
Joe, so would a lot more people, however the US and other distributors seem to think profit is better than more customers.
On front end components, voltage is not an issue as the step down/up transformers work really well. Warranty, Accuphase are extremely reliable.
I have been tempted to pick up the new C-37 phono stage direct from Japan.Source: Technics SP10mk3 - Thales Simplicity II, TW Raven AC-3 - Graham Phantom, SME 3012-R, Exclusive P3,,Linn LP12 - Naim ARO

Re: Accuphase future.
I think there might be other ways around it but I would never partake.

Re: Accuphase future.
I highly doubt Accuphase will release an A-200 (released in 2012) replacement soon. There have been 2 Class A mono blocks in Accuphase history. A-100 was released in 1991. According to this logic, A-300 won't be released until 202x. Their Class AB mono blocks are updated more frequent though (5-6 years). The M-6200 came out this year.

Re: Accuphase future.
I read somewhere that the Japanese models have a switch under the cover to flip for US voltage. True?

Re: Accuphase future.
Yes, you are right. But I mean the new flagship models, so with higher price than A-200, C-3850 and new modern source, maybe some fancy DAC with files transport or something.
I know that A-200 was released on 2012, so 21 years after A-100. But I think it doesn't mean anything. Besides A-300 is a silly idea, nobody needs 300W/4Ohm in A class A-200 monoblocks are playing easly with every single speakers in the market, even with beloved in Japan JBL everest 67000.

Re: Accuphase future.
I have noticed Accuphase has been updating their products more frequent than before.
If buying the whole highend Accuphase system (dp900+3850+A200 for example) in one go, it's better have a first class flight to Japan and do you purchase over there.
The factory will do the voltage change for you but you lose your warranty which is that important based on Accuphase's reputation.
A memeber of this forum has already done so, smart move.
Esoteric K-05,Oppo BDP 95, Cocktail Audio X50
Accuphase C-2420,Mark levinson 532h,NuPrime IDA8, Line Magnetic 210IA(300B) & AS-125(211)
Sonus Faber Guarneri Evo, Raidho X-1,ELAC 310ib, Elac 203.2,Acoustic Energy AE1 Classic, Spendor 3/5 SE
Nordost Tyr2&Red dawn xlr,Analysis Plus Big Silver, Cardas Clear Power x 2,NBS Blk Label2,Voodoo Fire Dragon,Furutech Flux50x2 etc.

Accuphase future.
I am owner of the Accuphase 3850 and the A-70. Visited Accuphase last week here in Japan. I concur, Accuphase makes great gear. You are curious about new gear, ill ask. As far as voltage regulation, they mandate you live in japan for 6 months and they will change voltage for a small fee. Yes, warranty is voided.
