Mike, how new is this? I thought I already heard Diamonds in a Magnolia earlier this year when I heard the big Mc Monos.

Wow, if that only sounds as half as cool as it looks. I wonder if they still have the kevlar midrange in yellow?

Make a cabinet with nice rounded over edges for a better diffraction signature, then mount the drivers on rings with hard edges that completely negate that advantage ... brilliant

Gotta agree with Vapor on this one.

As an aside, is anybody else getting a Mario Bros vibe from these speakers? I'm half expecting angry torpedo's to fire outta em'.

    Re: New B&W series revealed!

I was back at Best Buy Magnolia over last weekend and got to hear the McMonos and the new Ds. I have to say WOW! What big and effortless sound. What was most noticeable, and probably had to do with setup and the room, was just how huge the soundstage was. Not just the width, but I almost found myself looking at wear the back wall met the ceiling where the vocals were coming from.

It looks like maybe I should combine my retirement budget for a dog and a new system since this particular setup is a bit out of my range.

    Mike,

It was the 802s. But the sales guy told me that the 805s would blow away almost every other pair of bookshelves and floor standers they had besides a few pairs of Sonus Fabers.

Bruce has his with an ARC integrated and it sounds superb. Open is a great way to describe them.
