    I heard them at a friends place. They have such a dynamic ease that's addicting. I plan on making a trip to Audioclassics this summer. Can't wait.

    So I jump on the shark, make my first hello post...then promptly jump down and see what's going on in Magnepan land, only to see Maggies running on MC 1.2KW's.

    I start thinking hmmmmmmm wonder how those would drive my 20.7s, something tells me just fine. 'and with the JC-1s next to be phased-out. oh my. something else to ponder.

    Did I read correctly that those 1,2ks weigh 127 lbs each!?
    When my brother was building my new rack I told him the bottom level would have 130 lbs of power amps to hold... He said no problem he would embed a couple 1" square bars within the wood just to be sure. I might have to check with him and see if this thing is warranted for 250lbs!

    Just sold my 3.7 Maggies. Truly awesome speakers at that price point. Hard to imagine anything 2-3x competing assuming one has the space and amplification.

    Yep you can say that again, poooooor class D 500 watts per channel = 20 pounds and MOST of them sound like doggy poo.
    André - - - Keep it simple system
    Amp = Chord CPM-2600
    Source = Chord One
    Speakers = Acoustat 1+1s highly modified
    Life without Acoustat is possible BUT senseless.
