Tannoy Arden MkII
I bumped into a pair of Tannoy Arden MkII (15" DC386 drivers 8ohms impedence) on Yahoo Auction.
The edges of the Ardens have been refoamed with non-original material by the seller, as he mentions.
Would be grateful if someone could tell me how Arden sound and if they suit me. I listen to female vocals, pop music, orchestra most of the time. How much are they worth these days, given their age? I am also open to other Tannoy's in the same price range such as Stirling, Greenwich, etc so please recommend another model if Arden doesn't suit me.
Thanks!
Chris

Re: Tannoy Arden MkII
Hi Chris, As per Tannoy Arden. If you can find the MK I with HD385A would be better speakers with Alnico driver.
They are great speakers for the money and excel on Jazz , vocal and classical music.Paul

I upgraded the power supply on my Gigafoil v4 to a Weiss PSU 102. It’s very nice step up. But with the new model, you’re looking at $2000 before even investing in a SOTA linear power supply.
