I saw those speakers in NYC last year. The fit and finish and craftsmanship are superb. So beautiful to look at you don't even need to plug them in!

Do the O96 exist in other finish ? I am sure that the Accuphase must sound wonderful.
Too bad there is no importer in France. Buying Devore here is very complicated.

Jerome, I've only seen the "O" series in the type of finish that Jock has. The front panel has a layer of veneer on it so I would imagine that you could request something different, or even a different stain perhaps. I don't know how custom Devore goes as far as special orders. Anything can be done for a price, of course.

He will absolutely do custom finishes. I really like the standard finish of the O93s and I was going to have him build be some O96s in that finish. If I remember right, it was a $900 upgrade plus a couple months wait.

I decided not not to wait.

    I was thinking that too.

The plug-in phono for the Accuphase preamp is expensive ($7,500) and then I couldn't use it for my other system in case I ever wanted to switch. So, if I do go that route, I think I'll get a separate phono stage.
