    Look for opinions on the TAD Evolution One ...

    I am thinking about "downsizing" to the TAD Evolution One. Has anyone compared them to the CR-1's. I am under the impression the top end is a little sweeter and slightly less forward.



    Woofer : 18cm cone x 2
    Midrange/tweeter : coaxial 14cm cone/3.5cm dome
    Frequency response : 28Hz to 100kHz
    Crossover frequencies : 250Hz, 2Hz
    Required amplifier output : 50W to 250W
    Sensitivity : 88dB (2.83V, 1m)
    Rated impedance : 4Ω

    I liked what I heard at CES last January. Very smooth and nice. It was with TAD's electronics.

    Oh I get it now downsizing dollar wise. I was wondering how going from a monitor to a floorstanders was downsizing . Lol.
    I haven't heard either so I'm no help here but both are gorgeous speakers.
    Was reading about tad the other day. I had no idea they were Pioneer.
    I was reading real good things about them. Sounds solid and the designer really knows his stuff.
    Having them big revels is giving you the big speaker itch??

    Well, downsizing as in a perceived lower cost speaker.
