Look for opinions on the TAD Evolution One ...
I am thinking about "downsizing" to the TAD Evolution One. Has anyone compared them to the CR-1's. I am under the impression the top end is a little sweeter and slightly less forward.

I liked what I heard at CES last January. Very smooth and nice. It was with TAD's electronics.

Oh I get it now downsizing dollar wise. I was wondering how going from a monitor to a floorstanders was downsizing . Lol.
I haven't heard either so I'm no help here but both are gorgeous speakers.
Was reading about tad the other day. I had no idea they were Pioneer.
I was reading real good things about them. Sounds solid and the designer really knows his stuff.
Having them big revels is giving you the big speaker itch??Steve

I upgraded the power supply on my Gigafoil v4 to a Weiss PSU 102. It’s very nice step up. But with the new model, you’re looking at $2000 before even investing in a SOTA linear power supply.
