Nice to see another VW owner here.
'17 Golf Sportwagen 4Motion here. IS38(R Turbo), APR tune, AWE Downpipe, R8 wheels and a few other upgrades installed already. Have a set of Koni struts ready to go, just need to decide on which springs. So far have run a 12.6 @ 109.5, 1.98 60' in poor conditions, hoping for an 11.9 this fall.

Re: Let's see your ride
Sunday project.
Got my Porsche factory tinted GT3RS tail lights installed today.
I had to remove the entire spoiler assembly just to access the 2 torx mounting screws for each light.
Took about an hour, but no big deal.
I am not sure if I will keep the clear lights or sell them.
It would be like changing shirts every once in a while for a different look!

Last October I traded my Tahoe LTZ for a Lexus IS 350 F-Sport with all the bells and whistles. The Mark Levinson sound system rocks the interior. Love it.

Re: Let's see your ride
Sorry, I was looking at the first pic that showed the Chrono dial.
Also, new style airbag gets expensive to replace the older style.
I also like my thicker diameter wheel - feels incredible and great control steering.

Re: Let's see your ride
The .2 steering wheels are noticably thicker than .1 and a bit smaller in diameter.
Correct about the need to replace the airbag. I bought my steering wheel (brand new) complete with airbag for like 1000 EUR and then sold my used one for 500 EUR. So my net cost of the upgrade was only 500 EUR. Pretty much the same for both my friends.
CF steering wheels are super hard to find though - I think the only viable source would be the Porsche dealer.
PS. Now you can go with CF wheels to finish the car off

Re: Let's see your ride
I've changed vehicles recently. I sold my 2016 Nissan 370Z to a young gentleman up in Ohio. He finally took delivery of it about a month ago. While the Z sat in the garage for nearly 5 months (long story), I purchased a near mint 2001 Lexus LS430 off of a lady friend of mine, barely broken in at just over 197k miles on it. Over the past 5 months, it is now up to just over 201k miles, and it runs like a top, purrs like a kitten and all that jazz. No rattles or vibrations inside or out.
My friend's aunt purchased the LS430 new back in 2001 in Georgia where it has lived it's entire life. It was always garage kept and saw nothing but highway miles. She then sold it about a year ago to my friend. It came with all of the maintenance records from the dealership. It even came with brand new tires which barely had 600 miles on them!
It's about due for a new timing belt, pulleys and water pump, so I have the full stock kit sitting here waiting to go on. I also have a fully custom built, fully adjustable coilover suspension system for it as well, designed specifically to reduce ride height slightly while maintaining a luxury ride, but just a touch firmer. And since all of the 19 year old rubber bushings on the upper and lower control arms are all original, I have all new control arms with poly bushings coming in which will be installed the same time as the coilover system.
Lastly, once the suspension is all taken care of, I'll get some nice, classy (period correct) 18" or 19" staggered wheels to put on it, with 245's up front and 275's in the rear.
I love this LS430 and it makes me not miss the Z all that much, which is shocking. I do miss shifting gears however, though I am talking with a couple of different tuning companies about doing some ECU remapping on the LS430 (about a 10 - 15% increase in hp & tq) which will also include some tweaks to the transmission and how it shifts, which will be a plus. Currently, upshifts aren't too bad, but the kick-down reaction time is rather lack luster. You know, the luxury life. LOL
A few pics... It doesn't look like much right now in stock form, but in the end, it will. Kind of going for the theme of the early 2000's BMW M Series and Mercedes AMG.
