Wow! Deja Vu! I am 60 and I remember my parents listening to this album on the heath kit stereo that my dad built when I was a preteen. It was an excellent recording and album back then. I just may have to buy it. I use to love hearing Day-O.

My favorites are ‘Jamaica Farewell’ and his speak after that, when Belafonte notices he is about to tell the same pre-rehearsed story twice, and then puts the blooper aside with “well, I was not always a young boy in the West-Indies...” .

Thanks Mike and Kuppis, I just ordered the LP. Wow, listening to it on YouTube brought back a lot of good memories and emotions for me. My deceased mother really liked Belafonte and this album.

Another excellent bargain at $16. It's noted as being VG+. I have to say, even at 34+ years old, this original pressing looks brand spanking new inside and out, and sounds like it as well!
