Listening to a creamy purple-ish iteration of Jeff Buckley’s Hallelujah there’s no denying listening to vinyl is fun.

Margo Price - Midwest Farmer's Daughter
( recorded at Sun records and released on Jack White's label )

I enjoyed that album so went on to..
Margo Price - All American Made
( A good album. Includes a duet with Willie Nelson. Someone found the compression button though and a bit more polish that MFD. Maybe going for more radio appeal.)

What are you listening to tonight ?

This is one of the albums that made me a rock lover. The Rolling Stones, Goats Head Soup.

Just about a decade old, I found it in my parents’ record collection, and probably ruined it. Those were the days when I wanted to become a rock’n roll guitar player, before the smarts kicked in and made me understand that for 98% of the trade it’s mostly not money for nothing and chicks for free. But Keith and his five strings were my hero. And a couple years later I had a summer fling with a girl named Angie, uh oh.

Got myself an original pressing from 1973. Still a superb album, the guitar sounds are impeccable and I love Billy Preston’s clavinet on the album.

Rush - Fly By Night - Tidal MQA - Tone controls on. Playing exceptionally well for not the best in recordings.

Released in ‘75 as album number 2, this is progressive hard rock at its best!

While opening on tour for Kiss, Gene Simmons commented these boys would sit in their rooms and read books while the Kiss band members were drinking and chasing half-naked girls around the hotel.

    Belanger & Bisson - Quboz 44 kHz

Honestly I picked this up along the way never hearing the duo before. It has flavors of Jazz and Classical depending on the track - a style blend I’m not familiar with, but like this a lot!

Reference quality all day long. The cello come across extremely lively accenting heavy mid’s and the piano has the weighted flavor of the keys.

Worth a listen or your money back What are you listening to tonight ?

    Thanks for the reply.

Interesting approach, and shows you what can be done away from what was considered standard.

J.S. Ondara - Tales of America, Quboz 192 kHz

Branching out from normal plays, came across this and gave it a whirl.

Decent reference, good music. Reminds me of a modern day Dylan with a twist

Great album. Most all of the CTI Jazz from that time was well done. I saw the California Concert assembly in Detroit in the early 70's.

I agree, a great album, probably my favorite of all the Freddie Hubbard albums I have, at least until I listen to a different Freddie Hubbard album! This particular one is a PurePleasure re-release and the sound is stellar.

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

Soen, Lotus - Might be one of my favs of the yr. Kinda a mellow Tool'ish sound. The vocals are ridiculous, not one bad tune. Took me several listen through's and it finally hit me. It was really good at first listen, but as usual, after listening through many times, shit just happens. Killer release.

I purchased their discography last yr (bandcamp) after hearing a couple tunes. If you like prog/rock genre, highly recommened. Cant wait to hear this on my new in-bound atma-sphere pre

Check out the Lunacy tune. The ending is wonderful, goosebumps even
