My girlfriend's album. Certainly not my cup of tea. And talk about a totally flat and lifeless recording with loads of purposely added distortion. Yuck.

One of my favorite albums. Nothing fancy, no soloistic grammy performances, no compostional masterpiece - just a nice jazz album. Also wanted wanted it in hi-res.

The original rapper. The live-take of “Shadow of Your Smile” is superb, interplay of piano and guitar (Herb Ellis) exemplary.

Currently listening to The All Seeing Eye by Wayne Shorter, his 9th album. My fave cut here is Face of the Deep, a minor key ballad with a lovely melodic bent that stands in sharp contrast to the other more chaotic songs on the date.

Intrigued by your post I tried to find this, but that proved to be a difficult undertaking. Listened to another album though, quite individualistic.

LOL. I first noticed him with “Different Shades of Blue”, which is a song I kind of like.

When I read he was a child prodigy, I tried to find anything else he has done I would like. Unfortunately, I failed miserably.

I would recommend that if someone likes this album, to purchase the digital instead. The recording is very clean, the vinyl is very quiet and the packaging is very nice, with three records. That being said, it sounds nowhere near as good to my ears as the 1976 Tommy Bolin album I'm listening to right now.

Oh yes, great album. Sad he died so young, as he was venturing into more and more different musical styles. One of my guitar heroes!

An older album of his called Blues Deluxe is good. I have even an older album, forget the name, it comes with a live DVD, the music is more Blues Rock, I really like that album too.

    Tracy Chapman - New Beginnings.

Oddly, the single from this album seems so out of place with the rest of the songs, really a great album though and recorded well.
