Phil Colllins - Remixed Sides. Pretty much what the title incenuates, still fun, I like Phil.

I tried a couple albums from the new release list that looked interesting but didn't quite make it through.

Peter Frampton - Just Blues. Not a bad album I just heard better versions of the songs he covered. Seemed to lack spark or something. If that is him on vocals I didn't recognize it.

Rickie Lee Jones - Kicks. Good grief, what happened to her voice? She sounds like her nose was packed like after Rhinoplasty and no teeth. Although I like the arrangement to the cover of Bad Company's, Bad Company, from the album Bad Company, LOL, I couldn't get past the 2nd track on this album, I hurt for her as I listened.

The Doors - The Soft Parade - Streaming very nicely with Quboz 96kHz

The fourth album released in 1969, critiqued as the worst album. IMO its just as good as their other efforts despite Morrison taking a back seat in writing as he was focusing more on his poetry, and god knows what else.

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

The Tierney Sutton Band - Screen Test Highly recommended, good SQ and performance. The group really takes some familiar tunes and makes them their own. So don't pass when you see songs like I Need A Brain or You Are The One I Want.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival - Various Artists. Fun listen,a ton of tracks and they are grouped together by sort of genre similarity. I'm not sure if these tracks are from different years but it's interesting the SQ varies from track to track.

Interesting, I just found this artist the other day searching under "akiko", an organist. I listened to a couple tracks from different albums, violin concertos. I'll have to look for this one.

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

Excellent version of Four Seasons. Recorded well too, IMO.

One of my favorites of Four Seasons is performed by the Ancient Music Society. Meyers version seems to rock it a bit for lack of a better way to put it. Out of curiosity I compared her version to Chang, Meyers was much better staged, the Chang version was more traditional and for some reason all toward the mid sound stage.

Brian.......Another version of The Four Seasons that I enjoy is Janine Jansen - The Four Seasons. I have this recording on SACD. It is excellent.

Been up in Evergreen, CO, looking for homes. Difficult to do when you live in Texas, as the good ones get snatched up fast. This may take longer than I thought. Oh well, back home now and listening to this gem, "glass bead games", Clifford Jordon Quartet.

Always had a thing for Nancy Wilson, and read the Van Halen brothers were after both Ann and Nancy

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

Can you imagine that band, the Wilson sisters with the Van Halen brothers?

I saw Heart a couple years ago, their voices are still going strong. Nancy actually did a couple songs at the piano, either solo or near solo, memory is fading, but I do remember she was rocking a sexy black outfit, looked like the rest of her was holding up well too.

    Vienna Teng - Warm Strangers

I can't remember if someone here turned me onto this album or I stumbled across it on Tidal. It's in my favorites though. Friday and I wasn't feeling rowdy so the album hit the spot.

Then one of America's Greatest Hits where the songs were remastered.
