I am not entirely sure. Angus Stone does uses some older sounds, but I am not sure how the album was recorded. The Phonotropic Picture Disc Vinyl is fun and nice to look at, but that does not improve the sound. It actually has more surface noise, as I find.

I initially bought the vinyl to have one of these Phonotropic Picture Disc Vinyls in my collection, but discovered I also do enjoy the music.

here is one to track down for your record collection: split enz | true colors -- i had this album decades ago and was thrilled when i opened it up to find the etching. first time i had ever seen that.

Jethro Tull - Broadsword

If you've not heard this album it's worth a try, from the 80's and a bit different sound for the band. I like it a lot, my favorites are the title track and Seal Driver, all are really good tracks, except for maybe track 1.

David Bowie ‎– Aladdin Sane - original 1973 UK pressing. I have a few pressings of this - this blows them all to the curb. you are literally hanging on for dear life with the attack and life this pressing has. the Jean Genie definitely lives on her back.

Gimme Shelter is one of my favorite Stones songs, I saw a 50th anniversary remastered addition of Let It Bleed on Tidal, so I was excited to hear my favorite track remastered. I was disappointed, sounded like they used a good helping of compression or something, the vocals were more buried in the mix, I still prefer the old flawed version.. Anyone else check any of these 50th anniversary reissues?
