    Greetings from Gator Land

Gainesville, that is...Lifelong audio nerd who clung to his Mac 1700 receiver and Large Advents until I was living in Miami and introduced to that weird cult of high end. When I heard a pair of Acoustat Xs, my world was rocked and for $2k I had me a pair, with a VanAlstine preamp, Ariston RDlls and Mayware Formula 4. Since then lots of gear has come and gone, with the Gemini duality veering between giant electrostats and minimalist powered speakers. I am currently enjoying a combo a/v system as I have a lot of multichannel SACDs and concert blu rays. In a nod to my minimalism and aesthetic sense, I am using Dynaudio XD60s which are quad amped floor standing speakers that continue to flabbergast me with their full range response (below 20hz), lack of boxiness, and timbrel accuracy. I think those crafty Danes know a thing or two. Oh, and they are beautiful. Now if I could just figure out how to best get an SPDIF signal for all surround channels......

    Mark,

    Welcome to the forum!
I lived in Gainesville as a student while doing my Engineering at UF!

I've always had a soft spot for Dynaudio - they make some great speakers.

    Gators Forever!
