These are on another level entirely. They remind me so much of the Westminister GR’s.

    MSRP is $36,495

I would love to hear these. I was impressed with everything about Jim Smith’s Tannoys when I heard them except for the looks. The Fyne’s are much better looking in my opinion, and if they have successfully captured and improved upon the Tannoy sound they should be a winner.

You’ve described them to a tee. Better looking and better sounding!

Is it just me or they look taller and bigger than 802’s? Nice looking speakers BTW, very curious about them.

From what I could tell with my computer sound system they are not only beautiful physically but aurally as well. I'll be setting up a second system in a couple years and after Joe loans me the money. The Fynes will be a prime consideration. That OK with you, Joe?

Boulder, Hegel and Luxman have all been excellent. Pass too. The AudiaFlight has also been superb with Fyne. The Block Audio was next level.

Great Mike. Appreciate your work in taking time to post videos. It helps people who can't audition to get an idea of their tonality.

    Re: Fyne Audio F1-12’s

I got Fyne F1-12 today. I had to change the speakers as my previous speakers (monitor audio PL500II) were big for my room. MA PL500II are amazing speakers and if my room was big, I would not have changed. Having said that, man o man, Fyne F1-12 are incredible. I was worried if my move would be a lateral move, but definitely not. It is quite a step up. The tonality, mids and highs are so focused and melodious. Imaging and soundstage are so accurate. Bass, is like unbelievable for the size of speakers (I am comparing to MA PL500II big boys). The speakers are like musical nirvana. Enough said, they are staying for long. Looks, fit and finish are top notch. Will do more listening and do some tweaks. Just one One cons: the speaker terminal- not enough real estate to get stiff spades and stiff jumpers fit in there, but was able to get it done with some effort. All in all, this speaker is killer of musical tower. I might look for a good tube amps, class A to elevate the tonality.

Yes, we tried VAC, ARC and Viva. The VAC and VIVA were a superb match. VAC is PP, Viva is SET.

Fyne F1-12 are very sensitive to footers. The stock footers (basically spikes) were very musical. When I changed to Isoacoustics gaia 1, the sound is more dynamic with wide soundstage and more bass. While the sound with this is good, I am not finding it musical. Have you played with any footers or anything that you recommend with the Fyne ?

We really haven’t as we like the sound of the speaker with the spikes. As you said, very musical.

We will be using GAIA II’s on our Vivid G1 Spirits at the Florida Audio Expo next week as we love what they do on Vivid speakers. But honestly, we never had a need to change the stock spikes on the Fyne’s.

I will go back to Spikes. I was told that Vivid G1 spirits are bass monsters (not heard myself) and seeing what Gaias did to my Speakers with bass, I am assuming the G1 spirits with Gaias will break some windows.

To be honest, not exactly. The bass is so incredibly fast and so defined and deep, but I wouldn’t call it earth shattering.

A side trip from the show to local dealer Suncoast Audio would satisfy any desire to audition the Fyne Audio speakers with a wide variety of other great supporting gear!

Bill, you would be surprised how many people think this and I would love to be able to, but the reality is, we shut down the store Monday (two days ago) and I doubt we will be fully operational until Feb 23 or Feb 24. We are bringing everything but the kitchen sink! Packing it all up, preparing to deliver it to the show on Tuesday of next week, then two full days to setup. After the show, pack up, bring it all back, unpack it all, set it all back up and then haul all the crates and boxes back to storage and pack away. We are talking 5 racks, huge rubber maid containers of cables, multiple DAC’s, multiple transports, 8 Vicoustic Victotems, multiple turntables, multiple amps, multiple speakers, multiple phonostages, power conditioners, grounding stations, R2R decks, etc. All the while, the phone keeps ringing and people keep walking in. We had this couple come in the store yesterday and they must have thought they had entered a war zone! We had crates and boxes and rubber made containers and moving blankets everywhere.

We have also had to take a hard line on “Suncoast Audio DOES NOT LOAN EQUIPMENT FOR THE SHOW!” You can’t believe the number of calls I’ve received from industry folks, “oh, can we just borrow some speakers so we don’t have to ship ours?”, “oh, can we just borrow some amplifiers so we don’t have to ship ours?”, “oh can we borrow some racks so we don’t have to ship ours?” I even had “can we borrow some of your sales people for the show? We will take a room, ship our stuff, but your sales people can maybe work our room for us” . NO, NO, NO and NO! We have to take this hard line because the amount of work involved for us in packing, transport, unpacking, packing transport and unpacking and then hauling everything to storage after the show is tremendous, not to mention the risk of damage! Just think about rack assembly alone! Heavy amps. Heavy speakers. Etc. We need to get everything back and get operational again as soon as possible! Combine all this with our responsibilities of running the show! Yeah, it’s a wee bit stressful.

Sorry I even suggested it ... I can certainly understand the position you're in supporting such a strong presence at the show. Best of luck with everything and I hope it's a successful venture for your business!

Oh no! Don’t be sorry. I appreciate it and wish we could accommodate. Just wanted to shed some light on why a proper demo isn’t possible until Feb 24 or so. It’s nutso time now.

    Thanks for the kind words.

I went with a friend to hear the F703s at a dealer and was blown away, not just for the price, but in general. These speakers are a steal at ~$14K. I can only imagine what a buy the F1-12s are.

    BTW, he bought them.

How will Luxman mq300 sound with fyne f1-12. These amps are only 8w, but I am assuming the quality of Luxman amps are good enough to drive them.

It’s a great amp, but I would strongly suggest more power. The MQ300 is great for the Avantgarde’s.

    Ok.
I have jumped to octave RE 320 amp. I had heard octaves in past and was impressed with its transparent and neutral signature with hint of tube like magic. I am waiting for its arrival. With its arrival, I will be posting my Audia Fight strumento no.4 mk2 for sale (on sale on USmart). Mike, you are welcome to buy this too (I know you are craving ). I will post sale on this website too. Don't know how to post sale on audio shark.

Also, I have changed my preamp (from Thrax Dionysos) to Aries Cerat Incito S and DAC (from Esoteric K-01XD) to Aries Cerat Kassandra II ref. Eventual plan will be to go for full Aries Cerat set up with Fyne F1-12.
If anyone has not heard Fyne F1-12 (or any Fyne speakers- I have not heard other Fyne though), they should listen to it before spending $$$.

Thanks for the welcome. I just ordered a pair of F1-12s, the new version and I am really very excited, I wanted to know from the F1-12 owners how they were and if they were satisfied. Thanks in advance.

I have F-12 and am extremely happy with them. Have not found any flaws. Very easy to drive, very friendly with placements, very musical regardless of the type of music and list goes on. It sounded good with both solid state and tubes: I am all tubes now and they pair perfectly well. I will not go in micro details regarding how good they are in mids, highs and lows, but they just sound organic, balanced and very coherent.

Congrats on the F1-12s you have coming. I wasn't aware of a "new version", any details on what has been changed? Enjoy them in the best of health and welcome to AudioShark!

Thank you for your reply, very promising.
What kind of speakers did you have before? I'm from a couple of Tannoy Canterbury GR. What kind of improvements should I expect?

    Thanks!
The new version (12s) has the new driver with FyneFlute surround technology and an improved crossover. This should translate into improvements on the bass, so much so that the specs now starting from 24Hz (was 26Hz).

I had Monitor Audio PL500II before this. Those were great speakers too, but was bit bigger for my room and I thought it needed more room to breathe than I could offer. Compared to MA PL500II, two words that comes to me are: Fynes are more organic and coherent with excellent imaging.

Hi Rachik, how is the low end response of your F1-12?
Did you have to work a lot on positioning in the environment to get what you wanted?
