    The Weather

Im thinking this years weather in the US has probably been the worst, and hope I’m wrong and recall several similar events around the planet in Europe and Asia.

With the heat in the Southeast, hurricanes, fires in CA, and no rain here in the Northwest I hope it doesn’t delve further into epic.

I believe global emissions contributes to change, but don’t believe it’s the reason at 100%, based from the melting of the ice age.

its not the same as last years weather, this time last year our lows were in the high 60's yesterday lows mid 70's. Naysayers can say what they want, things relative to weather are not the same as they were 10 years ago. I know for fact the ocean is raising, as my beach gets smaller each year.

    Re: The Weather

I think the east coast is going to have a real winter. I have a Silver Beach Tree on my front lawn that drops is spikey seed pods in the fall. This year, the amount is just ridiculous. I have been raking up so many bags of them and they have never dropped like this. I know the tree is healthy, but isn't it a sign of a heavy winter when all the trees over seed? The Squirrels are also going Nuts.

You can go back 100 years and see seasons and temps way out of the norm. I am not saying that Humans are not effecting things, but freak high temps are not just happening in the last 10 years.

to the best of my knowledge most meteorological data has only been collected since the Civil War. A drop in the bucket with respect to time / weather trend measurement.
    Cheers ! …. Dave

To the best of my knowledge massive use of fossil fuels started in the late 1800s well after the Civil War.

I was not implying that we should do nothing, just pointing out record temps in years gone by, like the 30s have been higher at times than recent years.

You need to look at trends not individual years. Trend clearly shows average temperature is going up.

    Re: The Weather

This is an extremely serious issue.
The weather in upcoming Feb is supposed to be really bad in large areas in north, midwest, Canada, Europe, etc.
So please join us at Florida Audio Expo to escape it all (or at least fiddle while it all unfolds).

The earth has gone thru repeated cycles of Ice Age and Fire. What caused all the previous cycles as this one is all blamed on fossil fuel usage?

Maybe, but I've on this planet for 67 years and weather related things are not the same when it comes to temps, at least in the south. . Over population, means more fuel is needed, more manufacturing, the destruction of forest , more concrete.
